I don't really know the REAL story. Some says a total of 20 freshmen are related to the crime, some says there were only 8. My point here is, the policemen shouldn't have cuffed the 'offenders' in front of the whole class, and the professor should have done something about the arrest. First of all, the policemen have not yet proven anything against the students arrested. Just imagine you being handcuffed in front of your whole class because of a crime you didn't commit. Who wouldn't be traumatized? One of my professors said that if she was the one handling that class during that time, she would have let the policemen (even Pres. Guevarra) wait until her class finishes. Its still her class anyway, and after all, she is still in control.
At Umagang Kay Ganda earlier today, Pres. Guevarra humbly admitted that indeed, our university lacks security. With a very limited budget that will cater to almost 10,000 students, faculty and other personnel, how will it suffice?

And now, as I proudly wear my uniform and ID on my way to school everyday, I must bravely face the prejudices of those narrow minds. Let us admit it, situations like this happens in YOUR university too, its just that, the media loves US.

I believe the issue is not about your school against others.
It is about the heinous crime committed by some students in your school, where the school administration and the security guards failed to protect.
And to prove the public that they are not guilty is for the court's to find out.
If they were, indeed, part of the gang who raped the student then by all means, they deserve the worst.
